Fusing press operator — North Yorkshire

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fusing press operator in North Yorkshire, England. You will be based at a dry cleaner's. Your main tasks: • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts Requirements: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep 5+ years on the tools preferred. £2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
