Vertical transportation technician — Aroostook County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a vertical transportation technician in Aroostook County, Maine. You will be based at a shopping mall with escalators and lifts. You will fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments; adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy; measure rope tension and check for broken strands; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway. Ideal candidate: • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
