Day-to-day duties: • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area What we are looking for: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Rotating shifts.
