Sand plant operator • Gloucester County, Virginia

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Gloucester County, Virginia. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. On a typical shift you will shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes. You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling We offer $17 per hour plus benefits.
