Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Brunswick County, Virginia. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Day-to-day duties: • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut What we are looking for: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Full-time with occasional weekends.
