Immediate opening: we are hiring a heavy goods vehicle driver in Aleutians West Census Area, Alaska. The job is in a refrigerated transport fleet. You will secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars; check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits; reverse and carry out blind-side manoeuvres at loading bays; couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock; report defects and book the unit in for servicing. Requirements: • Valid digital tachograph card • Willing to take on night and multi-day trips $30 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift.
