Cnc lathe operator — Douglas County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a cnc lathe operator in Douglas County, Minnesota. You will be based in a job-work machining unit. You should have: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code The role involves: • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Write and edit G-code programs at the control • Set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54) • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles • Measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
