You should have: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory The role involves spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
