Vacancy available: conventional mill operator (Kansas)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a conventional mill operator in Stevens County, Kansas. The job is in a toolroom. On a typical shift you will set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe. Ideal candidate: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience • Able to grind and set HSS cutters 3+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $210 per day plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
