Join our team: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Deuel County, Nebraska. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. On the job you will handle: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
