Now hiring: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Sherman County, Nebraska. You will be based in a job-work machining unit. Your main tasks: • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances • Measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets What we are looking for: • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
