Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry worker in Wakulla County, Florida. You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry On the job you will handle: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
