Fettler — Defiance County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fettler in Defiance County, Ohio. You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Day to day you will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant. We offer $2,500 per month plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
