Join our team: we are hiring a cement mason in York County, Virginia. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules On a typical shift you will give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade; mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer; discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. $31 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
