Mobile crane operator — King and Queen County

Now hiring: we are hiring a mobile crane operator in King and Queen County, Virginia. You will be based in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. The role involves: • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Current medical and eyesight certificate Full-time with occasional weekends.
