Now hiring: we are hiring a waterproofing applicator in Frederick County, Virginia. The job is in lofts and crawl spaces. Day to day you will measure and cut insulation boards neatly around pipes, ducts and openings; torch-on bituminous waterproofing membrane to flat roofs, basements and foundations; fix XPS and EPS boards to external walls with adhesive and mechanical anchors; install fire-stopping and fire-rated insulation around penetrations; lag hot and cold water pipes with rockwool sections and aluminium cladding; prep, clean and prime substrates before membrane application. Requirements: • Confident using a gas torch to bond bituminous membrane • Working-at-height certificate an advantage • Willing to travel between sites Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
