Now hiring: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Barnsley, England. The job is on a structural steel site. Day to day you will weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose. Ideal candidate: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • ITI in welder trade or equivalent Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
