Overhead (EOT) crane operator • Mackinac County, Michigan

Join our team: we are hiring an overhead (EOT) crane operator in Mackinac County, Michigan. The job is at a container port and shipping yard. You should have: • Current medical and eyesight certificate • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Understanding of hand and radio signals The role involves: • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
