Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Hancock County, Illinois. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Day to day you will select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run. Requirements: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Able to pass a weld test on the spot 4+ years on the tools preferred. $23 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
