Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling The role involves make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch. 2+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
