Cold room technician — Bradford

Immediate opening: we are hiring a cold room technician in Bradford, England. You will be based on a customer's rooftop chiller plant. Day to day you will recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system; replace compressors, filter driers and expansion valves; trace leaks with an electronic detector and soap solution; measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter; check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil. Requirements: • ITI or diploma in refrigeration / RAC trade • Comfortable handling refrigerant gases and gauge manifolds • Able to read wiring diagrams and pressure-temperature charts At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
