Vacancy available: stitching operator (Illinois)

Join our team: we are hiring a stitching operator in McLean County, Illinois. You will work in a sampling and tailoring workshop. The role involves: • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Part-time with flexible hours.
