Dogger — Pend Oreille County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a dogger in Pend Oreille County, Washington. The job is at a container port. The role involves set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area. What we are looking for: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay.
