Elevator repair technician — Houston County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an elevator repair technician in Houston County, Alabama. You will be based at a shopping mall with escalators and lifts. Ideal candidate: • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance Your main tasks: • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox Full-time, day shift.
