Fettler wanted in Powell County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fettler in Powell County, Montana. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Day-to-day duties: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces Six days a week, one day off.
