We are recruiting: we are hiring a moulder in McHenry County, Illinois. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection The role involves: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces 2+ years on the tools preferred.
