Argon arc welder — Huntingdon County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Day-to-day duties: • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Pay around $4,700 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
