You should have: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances You will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode.
