The role involves pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Part-time with flexible hours.
