Ladle pourer wanted in Calloway County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Calloway County, Kentucky. The role involves: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Basic grinding and fettling skills Part-time with flexible hours.
