Rigger — Lee County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a rigger in Lee County, Virginia. You will be based at a busy construction site. The role involves select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; read lift plans and method statements before starting; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings. What we are looking for: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket 3+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $29 per hour, based on your experience. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
