Site carpenter — Dinwiddie County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a site carpenter in Dinwiddie County, Virginia. The job is in a bespoke joinery workshop. You will cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish; glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together; erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours; apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board. Ideal candidate: • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers 5+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
