Rebar installer — Lafayette County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a rebar installer in Lafayette County, Mississippi. You will work at a rebar fabrication workshop. Day to day you will read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; assemble column and beam cages on the bench. Requirements: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Part-time with flexible hours.
