We are recruiting: we are hiring a bricklayer in Butler County, Alabama. On a typical shift you will building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays. Ideal candidate: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
