Vacancy available: we are hiring a sample machinist in Lee County, Florida. The job is in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Day to day you will match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges. Requirements: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams Overtime paid at a premium rate.
