Argon welding operator wanted in Perry County

Join our team: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Perry County, Illinois. You will run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise. You should have: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Full-time, day shift.
