We are recruiting: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Bland County, Virginia. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. On the job you will handle: • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence Ideal candidate: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • ITI in welder trade or equivalent $21 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
