Foundry operative — Cedar County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry operative in Cedar County, Missouri. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. The role involves: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Six days a week, one day off.
