Immediate opening: lifting rigger (Georgia)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Miller County, Georgia. Day-to-day duties: • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position What we are looking for: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Confident with standard crane hand signals 4+ years on the tools preferred.
