Oven operator • Bristol County, Rhode Island

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an oven operator in Bristol County, Rhode Island. The job is at a café with an on-site bakery. Ideal candidate: • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving Day to day you will monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch; boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing; roll out short-crust and biscuit dough; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; score the top of loaves before baking. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
