Join our team: we are hiring a chef de partie in Clarke County, Iowa. The job is at a roadside dhaba. You should have: • Able to stand for long shifts and work in heat • Sound knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking Day-to-day duties: • Chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat • Check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down • Prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch • Manage the tandoor and skewer kebabs • Monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks • Knead dough and bake breads such as roti, naan and paratha Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
