Gas service engineer • Bayfield County, Wisconsin

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas service engineer in Bayfield County, Wisconsin. You will be based in a gas distribution network. Requirements: • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Driving licence for travel between sites Day to day you will check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray; run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints; braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints; lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points; complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation; purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate. Six days a week, one day off. We offer $2,600 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
