Immediate opening: we are hiring a CNC mill setter-operator in Putnam County, Illinois. You should have: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work The role involves read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
