Requirements: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Confident with standard crane hand signals On a typical shift you will direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; read lift plans and method statements before starting; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight.
