Horizontal milling machine operator • Appanoose County, Iowa

Vacancy available: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Appanoose County, Iowa. You will work in a CNC machining unit. Day to day you will apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing. Requirements: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
