System scaffolder — Cortland County

Join our team: we are hiring a system scaffolder in Cortland County, New York. You will be based at a shipyard. Ideal candidate: • Full use of harness, lanyard and fall-arrest equipment • Reliable, punctual and able to work in a gang • Physically fit for repeated heavy lifting of tubes and boards On the job you will handle: • Tie the scaffold back to the building with through-ties and anchors • Dismantle the scaffold in reverse sequence and lower materials safely • Fix transoms and bracing to keep the structure square and rigid • Hoist tubes, boards and fittings up by gin wheel and rope • Install ladder access and ladder gates between the lifts • Set out base plates and sole boards on firm, level ground Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
