Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Queen Anne's County, Maryland. Day-to-day duties: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
