Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Morris County, Kansas. The job is on a structural steel site. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection The role involves: • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding Full-time with occasional weekends.
