Now hiring: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Reagan County, Texas. On the job you will handle: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension You should have: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
