Urgent requirement: commis chef (New Jersey)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a commis chef in Mercer County, New Jersey. The job is in a catering banquet kitchen. What we are looking for: • Willing to work split shifts, weekends and public holidays • 2+ years' experience as a cook in a busy kitchen • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking The role involves: • Check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO • Follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes • Knead dough and bake breads such as roti, naan and paratha • Check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down • Taste and adjust seasoning for consistency Full-time, day shift.
